The bloody truth about Microneedling

When it comes to Microneedling there’s a fine line between creating collagen production through a controlled injury, and causing too much inflammation, which can accelerate the aging process of skin.

In the hands of an inexperienced practitioner, needles can over trigger stimulus (see photo below) affecting the proper manufacturing of collagen. Dried blood clogs the microchannels of the skin and blocks the infusion of Hyaluronic Acid and stem cell derived cytokines.

According to Dr. Lance Setterfield, the “guru” of microneedling, *sufficient time is needed between treatments to avoid fibrosis (scarring) and PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation). At Get Beautified 4-6 weeks is protocol between visits. “Less is more” applies to an effective outcome.
